Becoming an artist in any genre in today's world is tough by itself. Whats even tougher, is becoming an successful artist in the city or state that has ( the old saying ) crab in the bucket mentality, or even saturated with a certain sound and style.
What do you do? Try to jump in a lane that will grasp the attention you are seeking. Or stay true to your style of music and get overlooked. If I have to answer that question myself, I would say both. Why? Not only would you being staying authentic but you will also be faced with a challenge that when you succeed at accomplishing this task, your skill has now become elevated to the level of a Versatile Artist also known as " The Goal".
The great rapper Scarface said once in a song " Your only as great as what you come up against". So the the real question as an artist is " Are you up for the challenge?" I know i am! If you are hungry enough to taste the music notes or the melody playing in the back of your mind to give you that sound of music then shoot for the stars and the moon. Continue to elevated your words and style. If this is not your mission or thought process of an Artist well this is not the street of music to be on.

Awesome. Please let me know if you enjoy it.
Thank you! But I cannot take credit for this one. This was written by an artist whom I will be interviewing. He speaks through his words. I love to have my reader's tell me there Views. Now I interested in this movie, which I will check it out. Again, thank you.
Love this post Phoenixx Warrior. A must-see Netflix movie by Radha Blank, "The 40-Year-Old Version", to me is a great response to this very interesting blog.
In the movie, Radha deals with loss, slowly losing interest in her career as a playwright, and worries she may have lost her voice too. She works in a field that seems to be not "the right one". After reaching 40, she decides to reinvent herself as____.
Well at this point I won't spoil the story...you have to watch it :-). It's a great story.
